What you need
Mosaik runs on your computer and reaches models through your own OpenRouter key, so there is no account to make with us.

If Windows says “Windows protected your PC”
Mosaik's installer isn't signed yet, so the first time you run it, Windows SmartScreen says it doesn't recognise the app. That is expected for a new, unsigned program. To go on:

After More info, the window names the file and says “Unknown publisher”. Signing the installer is planned, and this step will go away then.
To check the file is the one we published, compare its SHA-256 with the one above. In PowerShell, in your Downloads folder:

An ordinary installer that needs no administrator rights, and leaves your data alone.
- Installs Mosaik for you only, in your own user folder
(
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Mosaik), with no administrator prompt. - Adds Mosaik to the Start menu, and to the desktop if you tick the box.
- Keeps your chats, settings and key elsewhere, so updating or uninstalling never touches them.
- Keeps itself up to date: Mosaik checks for a new version and installs it when you close the app. You can change that in Settings › About and updates.
